RecurDyn is an engineering software technology for analyzing the dynamic behavior of systems containing both rigid and elastic parts. It combines rigid part motion analysis (Multi-body Dynamics) with elastic part motion, stress and deformation analysis (Finite Element Method). The RecurDyn solver combines these two components in one solver. This gives RecurDyna a much faster and more powerful solver than can be achieved by co-simulation.

Tire & Suspension

RecurDyn is a powerful multi-body dynamic simulation software used to analyze the dynamic behavior of complex mechanical systems. In the automotive industry, RecurDyn is widely used, especially in the analysis of wheel suspension systems.

Gear

RecurDyn/Gear allows for easy modeling and analysis of complex gear train systems. This module is used to analyze Dynamic Transmission Errors, taking into account the actual contact characteristics between the gear teeth, including vibration characteristics and user-defined backlash and tolerances. Furthermore, the post-processing function makes it possible to analyze the normal force and frictional forces at the contact points at each time step.

Valve

The RecurDyn/Valve module has been developed for the design and analysis of valve train systems. It is capable of automatically generating valve train assemblies and supports various valve types and camshafts.

Piston

The RecurDyn/Piston module automates the engine piston system. This module is designed for contact analysis of pistons and cylinders. It can perform a bearing analysis modeling the lubrication properties of elasto-hydrodynamic bearings between piston pin and connecting rod or between piston pin and piston. This module also requires the RecurDyn/EHD module.

Crank

The RecurDyn/Crank module enables the automatic creation of drive shaft-related parts such as crankshafts, balance shafts and flywheels.

Belt

The RecurDyn/Belt module facilitates the modeling and simulation of simple and complex three-dimensional belt drive systems.

Chain

The RecurDyn/Chain module automates the chain system identification process and supports standard chain parts such as sprockets, rollers, guide rails and side guards. Roller chains and silent chains can be modeled and analyzed in this module.

HM Track

The RecurDyn Track HM module enables modeling of moving and tracked vehicles such as tanks, military personnel carriers and snowmobiles. This module includes the main elements of tracked vehicles and allows to perform fast analyses with the optimized solver.

LM Track

RecurDyn Track LM (Track Low Mobility) module is used for modeling and simulation of construction and heavy industrial machinery. This module contains the main elements of the vehicles and enables fast analysis with an optimized solver.
